Mobil 1 Supercup on the new Silverstone Circuit had a disappointing end for
local hero Tim Bridgman and the team Schnabl Engineering / Parker Racing. After
an incident with an opponent Tim Bridgeman retired early from the race. Driving

Engineering/Parker Racing around Sven Schnabl and Stuart Parker missed a little
luck at the fifth round of the Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup at the 5,4 kilometres
long street circuit in the harbour of Valencia. Ranking on eighth position, Tim
Bridgman had to retire from the race with a brake problem at his Porsche.

him out. " It's such bad luck for this to happen, especially on the warming up
lap! You have highs and lows with motorsport and this is a big low. We have

Tim Bridgman was the star of
qualifying at Brands Hatch today (Saturday 20 September 2008) when he took pole
position for both of the final two rounds of the Porsche Carrera Cup GB.
Bridgman (Team Parker Racing) went straight out at the start of the session and
bagged two laps very close to the 47s mark to make certain of a double pole.
Both laps were a quarter of a second clear of the rest of the field and
Bridgman was then able to preserve his second set of tyres for the races. "The
laps weren't perfect, but I'm just happy to get two poles, there is always more
time to be found and I'm certain we are going to be fast in the races. Pole is
